Beau Blacken

Assistant Coach

Coach Blacken is back with the Everett Merchants in 2021.  Beau was a player / coach in 2008with Everett that season having joined the team late last summer for the NBC Tournament and was a full time coach on the staff back in 2015.  

After graduating from Lake Stevens High School, he played at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M for two seasons.  As a freshman he his .299 with 13 doubles, 7 home runs and 31 RBI’s then as a sophmore he hit .376 with 16 home runs and 78 RBI prior to transferring to New Mexico State University.  As a senior, he blasted 14 home runs and drove in 61.  

Un-drafted, Blacken would go onto playing four seasons of independent ball in the Frontier League, playing for the Chillicothe (Ohio) Paints, the Evansville (Ind.) Otters, and the Florence (Ky.) Freedom.  Overall he played in 378 professional games, hitting .293 (394-1347), hitting 50 home runs, driving in 233 runs.  He was selected to three All-Star games during his career.
