Five Merchants Named All-League

September 20, 2021 – Everett, WA: The Pacific International League today announced their all-league selection and the your Everett Merchants led the league with five representatives: Jordan Justice (OF), Jared Maxfield (P), Max Nealon (INF), Jaxsen Sweum (OF) and Riley Quinton (UTL). Cole Cramer (INF) and Charlie Wright (P) were named reserves.
Justice (Everett CC): Finished tied for second in the league in home runs (7) and stolen bases (15). Was third in the league with 81 total bases and fourth in hitting (.354)
Maxfield (Indiana Tech): Tied for second in the league in wins (3) and was fifth in the league in strikeouts (37) and ERA (3.18). Led the league in starts (8)
Nealon (Pacific University): Appeared in all 33 games for the Merchants hitting .397 (38-128), raised his batting average 83 points over his previous season with the team. Was fourth in the league in stolen bases (11).
Sweum (Whitworth University): Lead the league in extra base hits (25) and doubles (18) and finished second in the league in several offensive categories including average (.388), total bases (85) and hits (47).
Quinton (Arizona Christian): Played a key role for the Merchants both in the field and on the mound. Played in 21 games as a position player and 9 on the mound where he was 2-1. Had 2 of the leaguers complete games.
