Another Come From Behind victory

July 23, 2021 – Everett, WA: Once again, the Merchants came from behind for a victory.  Trailing 4-3, Everett scored five times in the bottom of the eight for a 8-5 win over the Redmond Dudes.  Jake Suyla worked the final three innings of the game to earn his first win of the season.

In the eighth inning, Jackson Sweum doubled in Brody Ponto and then Sweum scored the go ahead run on a Jordan Justice doubled.  Austin Ohland followed that up with a single to left field.  Max Nealon finished the scoring by hitting a two-run triple. 

Justice and Ohland both had three hits in the game.  

With the win, the Merchants are now 10-6 in league play (13-13 overall). Everett will play a double header on Saturday at the Highline Bears (no fans allowed – but the games will be broadcasted on the Merchants YouTube page) and then will finish up their 2021 home schedule on Sunday with a non-league game against Driveline Baseball at 1:05 PM.
