Merchies Improve to 8-4 In PIL Play

July 17, 2021 – Seattle, WA: After following behind early, the Merchants grinded away and earned an 8-5 win over the Highline Bears on Saturday night at Mel Olson Stadium. Everett scored a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth inning before exploding for four runs in the eight inning. Jordan Justice’s sixth home run of the year in the top of the ninth inning put the game out of reach.

Kenji Miller replaced the Merchants opener Jake Sulya in the third inning and got the win (2-1)n while Cramer earned his first save.

The Merchants outfielder set a season high with three outfield assists (Ethan Dosh 1, Jaxsen Sweum 2).

The win was the Merchants are now 11-11 overall and 8-4 in league.
