Game Three Recap

June 22, 2021 – Fairbanks, AK: Tonight Everett CC’s Kenji Miller took the mound in game three of the Merchants six game series against the Goldpanners. Kenji allowed only two earned runs will striking out seven batters over 5.0 innings but that wasn’t enough at the Merchants fell 8-3.

The Merchants finally got on the board in the sixth inning, following the ejection of Goldpanners starting pitcher Javyn Pimental for the use of an illegal substance, with a pair of runs. Brody Ponti tripled down the right field line to score Max Nealon then Cole Cramer followed up with an RBI ground out. Nealon had a pair of hits in the game.

Dylan Matsuoka made his first appearance on the mound to finish the game off. He did not allow a hit over 1.1 innings
